چکیده

On the one hand, all the existing blind second-order identiication methods backing on wide-sense stationarity lead to consistent estimates as soon as the statistics of the noise are known up to a constant factor; of course, the contexts where jammers may corrupt the data do not in general lead to a consistent estimation of the system. On the other hand, many received signals exhibit cyclostationarity (either natural or coming from a certain given processing at the source); the mere taking into account the second-order statistics at some cycles may allow a consistent estimation lying on a \statistical rejection" of the jammers and the noise. The main situations met so far will be recalled and a common methodology based on certain factorization problems will be given.

Blind equalization in the presence of jammers and unknown noise: solutions based on second-order cyclostationary statistics

This correspondence addresses the blind identification of a linear time-invariant channel using some second-order cyclostationnary statistics. In contrast to other contributions, the case where the secondorder statistics of the noise and of the jammers are totally unknown is considered. It is shown that the channel can be identified consistently by adapting the so-called subspace method of Moul...

Blind channel identification and equalization in OFDM-based multiantenna systems

Wireless systems employing multiple antennas at the transmitter and the receiver have recently been shown to have the potential of achieving extraordinary bit rates. Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) significantly reduces receiver complexity in multiantenna broadband systems. In this paper, we introduce an algorithm for blind channel identification and equalization in OFDM-based...

A new multichannel blind equalization criterium based on a generalized Rayleigh quotient

Recent works have presented novel techniques that exploit cyclostationarity for channel identification (equalization) in data communication systems using only second order statistics. In particular, it has been shown the feasibility of blind identification based on the ‘forward shift’ structure of the correlation matrices of the source. In this paper we propose an alternative algorithm based on...

Transmitter Induced Cyclostationarity For Blind Channel Equalization - Signal Processing, IEEE Transactions on

Fractional sampling has received considerable interest recently as a means of developing blind equalization techniques without resorting to higher order statistics. Instead, cyclostationarity introduced at the receiver by fractional sampling is exploited. In this paper, we show that simpler solutions are possible if cyclostationarity is introduced at the transmitter instead of the receiver. We ...

Prediction-based adaptive blind equalization: a performance study

Blind equalization of a communication channel using a predictionbased Lattice Blind Equalizer (LBE) is considered. Second order cyclostationary statistics and a single-input multiple-output model arising from fractional sampling of the received data are used. The performance of the LBE algorithm is studied in extensive simulations where commonly used example channels are employed. Convergence i...
